Kerala being appreciated for being an example for other states in COVID-19 prevention activities by Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Bhayya Toppe and BBC news channel.
Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Bhayya Toppe with a virtual meet with Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja stated that Kerala was able to control the death rate despite having large of COVID-19 positive cases. The state was also able to achieve progress including in plasma therapy treatment.
Both the Ministers was held in the context of the number of positive COVID 19 cases increasing exponentially in Maharashtra. The discussion was shared of the guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures and treatment and testing.
Minister KK Shailaja spoke about the successfully established home quarantine in the first and second phases of lockdown in the state. Those marginalised individuals were monitored at an institutional quarantine. The state also arranged counsellors and support the importance of mental health to more than eight lakh people with almost 1100 counsellors
Karnataka Health Minister also had an interaction with KK Shailja to understand the actions followed by Kerala to fight against the Covind 19 endemic.
Meanwhile, BBC channel shared the success story of Kerala in COVID 19 resistance and the Minister KK Shailaja waa invited as a guest for the BBC World News show aired on Monday 9 PM.
