Bengaluru Karnataka IAS officer BM Vijay Shankar committed suicide at his residence in Jayanagar on Tuesday evening.
The police are examining the issue and the cause is yet to ascertain.
Earlier he was arrested by the SIT in the connection with multi-core I Monetary advisory Ponzi scam for taking bribe of 1.5 crore INR from a firm.
