Kerala on Monday brought 3.5 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine to uphold against the covid19 pandemic. The vaccines procured from Pune Serum institute was transferred to the Kerala Medical corporation warehouse in Kochi Munjumeel. This morning on a routine Indigo flight carried over to Cochin international airport.

Kerala state has ordered over crore doses of vaccine to accelerate the drive. About 76 lakh covaxin and 25 lakh covishield. CM Pinarayi Vijayan stated the covid19 vaccination drive would be prioritised for the age group of 18-45 with people having comorbidities given priority.

Meanwhile, the union health ministry stated about one crore covid-19 vaccine doses still available with the states and UTs, additional doses of about 9 lakh will be received within three weeks.
