National Education Policy 2020 declared by the Union Ministry

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar announced a transformation to India’s new National Education Policy 2020 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi given approval of the same.

The proposes hold several structural changes in the early and higher education system. The new policy emphasis on several structural to include 100 per cent youth and adult literacy in the Country. The cabinet also initiated to rename the Ministry of Human Resource Development as Ministry of Education

The government aims to enhance public investment in the education sector from the current 4.3 per cent to reach 6 per cent of GDP soon. The NEP 2020 will ensure universal access to school education at all levels.

This provision also includes innovative education centres that would bring back dropouts to the mainstream, infrastructure support, tracking of learners in all levels, learning involvement of both formal and non-formal education methods and associate of well trained social workers or counsellors.
