A special CBI court on Thursday remanded former Union Minister P Chidambaram in CBI custody for four more days. Family and Lawyers of Chidambaram allowed to meet him for 30 minutes every day. His medical tests were conducted in accordance with the law, the court stated.
Earlier in the day, the court had held its order after the hearing on the custodial remand of Chidambaram inquired by the probe agency to question him in INX Media case.
The former Finance Minister is accused of conferring an FIPB clearance for foreign direct investment (FDI) to INX Media when he was the Finance Minister when UPA, in exchange of alleged bribes given to his son Karti Chidambaram.
