Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced an advance interim assistance of Rs 1,000 crore for cyclone-hit West Bengal. He made the decision after he healds a survey caused by cyclone Amphan. About 77 death has been reported. PM Modi held a review meeting with the Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee and State Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar to consider the relief measures. There will be a detail survey that will be conducted in the coming dates to agriculture and different sectors.

Post decision PM Modi stated ex-gratia of 2lakh INR to the families of each those killed during the catastrophe by the cyclone and 50,000 INR for persons who are injured.

There is huge damage that has occurs to the infrastructure, public and private property.

PM Modi stated In the time of despair and distress, entire country and the Centre are with the people of Bengal.
