Rahul Gandhi Criticizes Modi Government Over Dynastic Politics, Labels NDA Ministry “Parivar Mandal”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi targeted the Modi government on Tuesday, accusing it of dynastic politics and dubbing the NDA ministry a “parivar mandal” due to the number of ministers from political families. In a post on X, Gandhi named several ministers, including H D Kumaraswamy, Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Kiren Rijiju, who hail from established political lineages. He pointed out the contradiction between the Modi government’s criticism of nepotism and the composition of its own cabinet.

Gandhi’s post highlighted the contrast between the Modi government’s rhetoric and actions, calling it “Narendra Modi’s difference.” He accused the government of distributing power within a “sarkari parivar” (government family) while condemning the Congress’s tradition of generational struggle, service, and sacrifice as nepotism. Gandhi’s remarks were part of a broader critique during the ongoing political discourse surrounding the recent Lok Sabha elections.

The Congress leader’s comments came in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s accusations of Congress practising dynastic politics. By listing prominent NDA ministers with political family backgrounds, Gandhi aimed to underscore what he sees as hypocrisy in Modi’s stance. This exchange marks the latest in the ongoing battle of narratives between the Congress and the BJP as they gear up for future electoral contests.
