One of our country’s finest left-arm spinners, Rajinder Goel passes away (77) on Sunday after suffering long-term illness.
Rajinder never played for India but was regarded as a finest left-arm spinner during the ear of Bishan Singh Bedi. Goel owns the record for most wickets taken in Ranji Trophy. Goal played till the age of 44. Survived by his wife and son Nitin Goel.
Saddened to learn about the passing on of Sh. Rajender Goel Ji who was an institution in himself and a wonderful human being. He still has the highest aggregate of First Class wickets in India @ 640 wickets.(1/3) pic.twitter.com/fMwyd8HmeB
