Shops To Shut Early, Fear Of Trouble After Friday Prayers In Tense Hyderabad

The Hyderabad police’s Preventive Detention Act detention of suspended BJP MLA T Raja Singh has resulted in the shutdown of various businesses in the Goshamahal constituency of Hyderabad, Telangana.

While some protested the detained MLA’s detention in favour of him, others did so out of concern for violence and commotion. As a precaution, the municipal police have instructed businesses to close their doors by 8 p.m. for two days.

According to the Hyderabad police commissioner, they filed charges against and detained protesters who made incendiary remarks about T Raja Singh since there was no selective application of the law.

Syed Abdahu Kashaf, a self-described social media influencer who was seen on camera chanting “sar tan se juda” (behead), was detained before being released on bond. When there is a fear of trouble, Friday prayers are the main topic of discussion today. To guarantee that peace reigns, there will be a significant deployment of security personnel.

Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of AIMIM, has pleaded with people to refrain from engaging in any activity that will sabotage peace and harmony. He claimed that the BJP would view any unrest as a win.

Before being detained, T Raja Singh released a video in which he accused Telangana minister KT Rama Rao of allowing Munawar Faruqui’s performance in Hyderabad, which he claimed had caused a vitiated climate in the community. Bandi Sanjay, state president of the BJP and member of parliament for Karimnagar, is now free to pursue his padayatra. The third stage of the Praja Sangrama Yatra was supposed to end on Saturday with a speech by JP Nadda, the national president of the BJP, but police have not given permission for that.
