Singer Lucky Ali Accuses IAS Officer Rohini Sindhuri of Land Grabbing in Bengaluru

Renowned singer Lucky Ali has lodged a complaint with the Karnataka Lokayukta Police against senior IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri, her husband Sudhir Reddy, and brother-in-law Madhusudan Reddy, accusing them of illegally seizing his farmland on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The complaint, registered at Yelahanka New Town police station, alleges that Sindhuri misused state resources to occupy the land located in the Kanchenahalli area of Yelahanka. This dispute over the trust-owned farmland has been ongoing, with Ali previously accusing the local police of colluding with the IAS officer and describing the situation as a ‘land mafia’ conspiracy.

This is not the first time Rohini Sindhuri has been embroiled in controversy. She was previously involved in a public feud with IPS officer D Roopa, leading to both officers being removed from their posts by the Karnataka government. Roopa had accused Sindhuri of corruption and even shared Sindhuri’s private pictures, which a Right To Information activist brought to light. Despite the serious allegations, the charges remained unresolved, resulting in both officers being sidelined without further postings.

The recent land grabbing allegations have brought Sindhuri back into the spotlight, raising questions about high-ranking officials’ misuse of power and resources. The case underscores the ongoing issues of land disputes and alleged corruption within the administrative framework of Karnataka.
