The health department of Kerala tweaks the amendment policy with minor changes

The health department of Kerala two and a half months ago after withdrawing the two positives norm for the discharge of COVID19 creates another amendment to discharge policy is created with a minor tweak.

The change is that for category B patients (with severe symptoms). Can discharge on the 10th day if he/she turns negative and have no symptoms. The first follow-up test will be done on the 10th day of the onset of symptoms. Earlier it was on the 14th day.

This amendment of discharge policy is expected to increase daily recovery of approximately 10,000. Presently the average recovery measure is about 7500.

The change is expected to free more hospital beds and decrease stress on the system.
