‘Amazing performance by Fahad’; Kamal Haasan’s reaction to ‘Malik’
Kamal Haasan and Lokesh Kanakaraj watch ‘Malik’ starring Fahad Fazil in the title role directed by Mahesh Narayanan. ‘Vikram’ starring Kamal Haasan, Fahad and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles is being shot in Chennai. Fahad joined the group which started shooting on the 16th July. Kamal and Lokesh found time to watch Malik during the filming of ‘Vikram’.
Kamal Haasan also praised Mahesh Narayan. Kamal spoke about the making and directing style of the film. Lokesh Kanakaraj’s response was that if the film had reached the theaters, it would have been on a different level. Kamal and Lokesh met Fahad and Mahesh at Kamal Haasan’s office in Chennai the other day. This was announced by Malik producer Andro Joseph.
After Drishyam 2 and ‘Joji’, Malik was the most awaited direct OTT release in Malayalam. The film was designed for the theatrical release of Malik, the biggest budget film of Fahad’s career. But in the context of Covid it did not happen. The manufacturer relied on the OTT release to save itself from the financial crisis in the event of a second wave of Covid.The movie was released on the 15th of this month through Amazon Prime. The film stars Fahadh Fazil, Nimisha Sajayan, Vinay Fort, Jalaja, Joju George, Dileesh Pothen, Indrans, Salim Kumar, Devaki Rajendran and Divya Prabha.
