Ashneer Grover’s Roast Segment Removed from YouTube Show Following Legal Concerns
Aashish Solanki, winner of Comicstaan 3, announced via Instagram that episode 5 of his “Pretty Good Roast Show” was removed from YouTube to avoid a legal battle. The episode featured a roast of Ashneer Grover, former managing director of BharatPe, who reportedly requested the removal of his segment. Solanki’s roast included a jab at Grover’s ousting from BharatPe, which did not sit well with Grover, prompting legal concerns.
Despite the episode’s removal, clips of the roast circulated widely on X (formerly Twitter), with many criticizing Grover for not being able to handle the jokes. Users expressed disappointment, questioning why Grover participated in a roast if he couldn’t take the humor. The backlash highlighted a perception that those in power are often unable to handle public scrutiny or satire.
Aashish Solanki addressed the issue in his Instagram post, expressing regret over the episode’s removal but emphasizing the show’s financial constraints in fighting a legal battle. He thanked his audience for their support and assured them that more episodes would follow, indicating a continued commitment to roast humor despite the setback.
