Bengaluru Police Bust Rave Party, Seize Narcotics and Arrest Five

Bengaluru police arrested five individuals and seized narcotics, including MDMA pills, cocaine, and hydro ganja, during a raid at a rave party on May 19 at GR Farms in Singena Agrahara village, Anekal taluk. Commissioner B Dayananda reported that 101 guests attended the party, including people from other states and locals, but did not disclose any names. The police managed to recover the substances with the help of a sniffer dog squad despite the attempts to dispose of them in dustbins and a swimming pool.

Among the arrested are K L Vasu, V Ranadhir, Arun, Nagababu, and Mohammed Siddique. The party was allegedly organized to celebrate Vasu’s birthday at a property owned by Gopala Reddy, MD of Concorde. Actress Hema, also known as Krishna Veni, denied attending the party, asserting she was in Hyderabad. A car with a pass belonging to Andhra Pradesh MLA Kakani Govardhan Reddy was found at the scene, but no elected representatives were present.

The Central Crime Branch conducted the raid following a tip-off, and samples from about 95 attendees have been sent for analysis. Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara emphasized ongoing efforts to curb narcotics in the state and assured appropriate action will be taken based on the reports. The party, themed “Sunset to Sunrise Victory,” saw many guests attempting to hide their identities during the raid.
