MS Dhoni Files Criminal Complaint Against Former Business Partners for Alleged ₹15 Crore Fraud

Former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has taken legal action against his ex-business associates, Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwas of Arka Sports and Management Limited, alleging a staggering ₹15 crore fraud. The complaint, lodged in a Ranchi court, pertains to a 2017 business deal in which Diwakar purportedly agreed with Dhoni to establish cricket academies worldwide under the cricketer’s name. However, Dhoni claims that the firm failed to adhere to the contractual obligations, notably in paying franchise fees and sharing profits as specified in the agreement.

Despite numerous legal notices and the withdrawal of authorization from Arka Sports by Dhoni on August 15, 2021, the situation remained unresolved. Represented by his counsel, Dayanand Singh, the cricketing icon asserts that the firm’s alleged deceit has resulted in substantial financial losses exceeding ₹15 crore. The dispute centers on breached terms and conditions, as Dhoni seeks legal recourse in pursuit of restitution for the reported contractual violations.

This legal action underscores Dhoni’s commitment to defending his rights in the face of alleged contractual breaches, shedding light on a contentious rift between the cricket legend and his former business associates.
