On World Password Day, Uttarakhand Police refers to Elon Musk’s son

On World Password Day, Uttarakhand Police urged internet users to create strong passwords for “optimal digital security,” with an Elon Musk twist.

The police department advised internet users to use passwords as difficult as the name of Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s son. “Elon Musk named his son X Æ A-Xii and you can’t think of a strong and reliable password?” Uttarakhand cops quipped.

Netizens were left scratching their heads after the world’s richest person named his son ‘X Æ A-12’ in 2020 and now the Uttarakhand Police have used it to promote cybersecurity.

Every year on the first Thursday in May, World Password Day is observed to promote cybersecurity. In May 2013, Intel Security declared World Password Day, inspired by security researcher Mark Burnett’s idea, according to nationaldaycalender.

A strong password is essential for avoiding cybercriminal attacks. Avoid phishing attacks by not reusing passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, and using Google’s online security checkups.

In 2020, the unusual name X Æ A-12 for Elon Musk and his partner Claire Grimes’ son drew attention online. In a viral podcast with American comedian Joe Rogan, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk explained the meaning of the name and how to pronounce it.
