Reasi Terror Attack: Bodies of Victims Brought to Jaipur, Manhunt Underway

The bodies of four victims from the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district, including a two-year-old child, have been transported to Jaipur. The deceased include Pooja Saini from Murlipura, her son Livansh (Kuttu), and Rajendra and Mamta Saini from Chaumun. Pawan Saini, Pooja’s husband and one of the injured, was also brought to Jaipur. Eight members of a family from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, are receiving treatment at Narayan Hospital in Katra for injuries sustained in the attack.

The attack occurred on June 9 when a bus carrying pilgrims from the Shiv Khori shrine was attacked, resulting in the vehicle plunging into a gorge. At least nine people were killed, and 42 others were injured. The Jammu and Kashmir police suspect the involvement of the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba. A coordinated investigation is being conducted by the J-K Police Special Operation Group, Indian Army, CRPF, and the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is collecting forensic evidence from the site.

Efforts to locate the perpetrators continue, with a search operation in the forested area around the incident site. Vehicle checks and other security measures are also in place. The injured family members are in stable condition, with Dinesh Gupta’s brother confirming their recovery. The tragic event has drawn significant attention, highlighting the ongoing threat of terrorism in the region.
