On Sunday, the maximum temperature in certain districts of Kerala is expected to rise by two to three degrees Celsius, according to the weatherman.

On Saturday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that temperatures in the districts of Kollam, Alappuzha, Thrissur, Kozhikode, and Kannur would be above normal on March 12 and 13.

“On March 12 and 13, 2022, the maximum temperature in Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Thrissur, Kozhikode Kannur Kannur districts is most likely to be two to three degrees Celsius above normal,” said K Santhosh, IMD Director, Thiruvananthapuram.

According to him, the state received 33% less rain than the national average. Another reason, according to Santhosh, is the dry north-easterly wind. According to the IMD, the highest temperature was 38.6 degrees Celsius in Thrissur district on Friday, followed by 38 degrees Celsius in Palakkad.
