Veteran Singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away at the age of 92
Singer Lata Mangeshkar passes away who was lovingly referred to as the ‘Nightingale of India’. She died at a private hospital in Mumbai.
The singer, who has been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mumbai for the past one month, was shifted to a ventilator yesterday. Doctors said she was responding to medication. The security of the hospital has also been beefed up in view of the fact that several dignitaries have come to inquire about Lata Mangeshkar’s health.
She stepped into singing at the age of 13 and recorded her first song in 1942. In her career spanning seven decades, she has to her credit over 30,000 songs in different languages.
