Virat Kohli Meets Pakistan Captain Babar Azam Ahead Of Asia Cup 2022

For the Asia Cup 2022, which begins on August 27, the Indian cricket squad has arrived in Dubai. On August 28, the Rohit Sharma-led team will face off against Pakistan’s cricket team. All eyes are on that confrontation. Players from both sides got together in Dubai before the big game.

There were additional athletes representing Afghanistan on the field. The BCCI posted a video of people like Hardik Pandya and Yuzvendra Chahal interacting with people like Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi on its social media accounts. As Virat Kohli met with Pakistan captain Babar Azam, the spotlight was on him.

According to recent performance, Babar is among the best batters in the world, while Kohli has had difficulty lately. Comparisons between the two have been made for a very long time, and have recently gained momentum.

Kohli recently spoke with broadcaster Star Sports ahead of the team’s pivotal Asia Cup match against Pakistan. He contrasted his current performance with his difficulties during the 2014 tour of England.

He claimed that his failures in England followed a trend, but that his current run drought is unimportant because he believes his batting is strong.

“What happened in England was a pattern, so something that I could work on and something that I had to kind of overcome. Right now, as you rightly mentioned, there is nothing that you can point out saying that the problem is happening here. So, that for me, is actually an easier thing to process because I know that I’m batting well and at times, when I start feeling that rhythm back, then I know that I’m batting well. So, that for me is not an issue, which wasn’t the case in England; I didn’t feel like I was batting well at all. So, I had to work hard on one thing that could be exposed again and again which I overcame; right now this is not the case,” Kohli said while speaking exclusively on Star Sports show ‘Game Plan’.

India is the two-time defending champion and most successful team in Asia Cup history. Pakistan last took home the title in 2012.
