2 Killed, Two Injured As Truck Hits Bike Amid Fog In Noida

According to authorities, two restaurant employees in Noida were killed and two others were taken to the hospital with injuries when a vehicle allegedly struck their motorcycle early on Thursday while visibility was poor owing to fog.

According to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Ashutosh Dwivedi, all four of the workers, who were under the age of 25, were riding the same motorcycle when the accident occurred at 1 am near the Advant building within the boundaries of the Expressway police station.

According to the authorities, two workers, Bhawna (19) and Shobhit (23) perished, and Kaushalendra alias Kaushal and Sonu were hospitalised. As per police, the truck’s driver was taken into custody and its furniture-filled cargo was impounded.

“An underpass is being constructed near the Advant Building. The canter truck appears to have gone out of control due to the fog and reduced visibility in the night. “The truck hit a concrete structure first and then rammed into the motorcycle on which four people were riding,” Mr Dwivedi said.

“Two people died and two have been brought to the Sharda Hospital for treatment. We have met the injured and interacted with the doctors also to ensure that best of treatment is provided to those injured,” he said.

The extra DCP said that the canter vehicle with a Delhi registration had been seized.

Arun Pratap, the driver of the truck, left the scene of the collision but was apprehended by Thursday afternoon, according to the police. The Expressway police station was receiving a FIR in the situation, and additional legal actions were being taken, according to the police.
