Shivraj Singh Chouhan Accuses Rahul Gandhi of Being ‘Anti-National’ Over ‘Panauti Modi’ Remark

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, labeling his recent comment targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “anti-national.” Chouhan criticized Gandhi’s reference to PM Modi as “Panauti Modi” during a rally in Rajasthan, insinuating that Modi’s presence at the India-Australia Cricket World Cup final brought ill-fate to the home team.

Addressing a press conference, Chouhan condemned the comment, stating that during the final match, the entire nation was fervently supporting India, viewing it as a symbol of patriotism. He accused the Congress of celebrating India’s loss and highlighted their fear and animosity towards Prime Minister Modi.

Calling Gandhi’s action “anti-national” and “mindless,” Chouhan expressed confidence that the people of the country would not forgive such behavior. He drew parallels to Mahatma Gandhi’s earlier suggestion to abolish the Congress party, suggesting that Rahul Gandhi’s actions were aligning with that sentiment.

Furthermore, Chouhan criticized Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, labeling them as a “machine of lies” and emphasized the transformative impact of Prime Minister Modi’s schemes on the lives of millions. He also targeted the Rajasthan government led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, accusing it of pursuing appeasement policies and blaming it for incidents like the tragic killing of tailor Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur.

Chouhan alleged that over 19,000 farmers’ lands were auctioned during Gehlot’s tenure. With the Rajasthan Assembly elections scheduled for November 25 and vote counting on December 3, Chouhan’s statements reflect the heightened political tensions in the lead-up to the polls.
