Aam Aadmi Party Seeks Court Permission for Delhi CM to Run Government from Jail, Amidst Enforcement Directorate Arrest Threat

In a bold move, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced its intention to seek court permission to allow Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to continue governing from jail, should he face arrest by the Enforcement Directorate. During a recent meeting, AAP MLAs expressed their determination to uphold the mandate of the people and ensure that Kejriwal remains in office, even in the event of legal troubles.

Delhi Minister Aatishi stated, “We are going among the people. The people are saying that atrocities are being committed against the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal. That is why, all the MLAs requested the Chief Minister today that even if he goes to jail, he should remain the CM. The people of Delhi have elected him as CM, and he should remain the CM.” The party is prepared to take legal action to secure permission for cabinet meetings to be held within the jail premises, allowing the Chief Minister to continue his duties.

The AAP’s determination to ensure Kejriwal’s governance even from behind bars reflects their commitment to serving the citizens of Delhi, with a potential legal battle looming on the horizon as they take a proactive stance against perceived injustices.
