Amit Shah Promises 2036 Olympics in Gandhinagar, Seeks Support for Modi’s Third Term

In a series of public appearances and roadshows in Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad districts, Union Minister Amit Shah announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has guaranteed India will host the 2036 Olympics, with events taking place in Gandhinagar. Shah, addressing a crowd in Vejalpur area of his Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, stressed the significance of Modi’s governance, which has seen a rise in India’s global economic ranking and the fulfillment of key national issues.

During the day, Shah conducted three roadshows, culminating in a speech where he listed the achievements under Modi’s leadership, including the eradication of terrorism and naxalism, abrogation of Article 370, and the initiation of the Citizenship Amendment Act. He used these achievements to appeal for continued support for Modi, aiming for a significant win in the upcoming elections.

Despite the festive atmosphere, some local residents expressed dissatisfaction with local development, particularly in the provision of basic amenities such as water. The contrast between government claims and the people’s daily experiences underscored the challenges the BJP faces in convincing voters of their achievements and promises.
