ASOS Launches Adaptive Clothing Collection for Disabled Consumers

UK online fashion retailer ASOS has launched ASOS Adaptive, its first adaptive clothing collection designed for disabled consumers. Developed in partnership with accessibility consultancy Tilting the Lens and co-created with disabled individuals, the 51-option collection spans womenswear, menswear and curve styles. Research by ASOS and Tilting the Lens found that 86% of participants considered comfort and fit their primary purchase motivators, while style-led occasionwear emerged as a major gap in the market.

The collection combines fashion-focused designs with practical adaptive features, including magnetic fastenings, concealed zips, tube access points, hidden pockets and modified proportions for seated wearers. Womenswear includes fluid occasionwear such as draped maxi dresses, while womenswear and menswear tailoring features cropped and collarless blazers, waistcoats, wide-leg trousers and suiting. Selected trousers include contoured waistbands, higher back rises and shortened front rises, while jackets feature shorter lengths and softer construction to improve mobility and comfort.

Everyday offerings include smart shirts, knitted polos, moisture-wicking T-shirts and adaptive accessories incorporating wider necklines, hook-and-loop fastenings and stretch fabrics. ASOS said the collection reflects its aim to offer disabled customers greater choice without compromising on style. Tilting the Lens CEO Sinéad Burke highlighted co-design with disabled people as central to creating clothing that is accessible, desirable and relevant. ASOS Adaptive became available globally on ASOS.com on September 24, 2026, with prices ranging from £32 to £65.
