G.H.Bass and Clarks Originals Join Forces for Limited-Edition Loafer
G.H.Bass has partnered with Clarks Originals on a limited-edition loafer that brings together the heritage footwear brands as part of G.H.Bass’s 150th-anniversary celebrations. The G.H.Bass x Clarks Originals Wallabee Weejuns Loafer combines the handsewn moc stitch of the iconic Weejuns penny loafer with the Wallabee’s distinctive last and natural crepe outsole.
Launched on October 1 in men’s and women’s sizes, the collaboration is priced at $295 and is available exclusively through G.H.Bass. The hybrid loafer comes in maple and black colourways. The maple version features suede from English tannery C.F. Stead, while the black edition uses polished box leather associated with the Weejuns line. Both versions feature G.H.Bass handsewn moccasin construction on a modified Wallabee last, along with co-branded sock liners and packaging. The collaboration brings together two signature footwear designs, reflecting the brands’ shared focus on craftsmanship, heritage and timeless style.
The launch forms part of G.H.Bass’s year-long 150th-anniversary programme, marking the company’s founding in 1876 and the 90th anniversary of the Weejuns, introduced in 1936. Celebrations have included events in Paris, Berlin, Milan, New York and London, as well as limited-edition collections and collaborations with brands such as Dover Street Market and Karl Lagerfeld. The partnership arrives as loafers continue to enjoy strong popularity, with G.H.Bass leaning on its longstanding heritage and authentic craftsmanship to distinguish itself in the growing category.
