Atlys CEO Keeps Promise of Free Visas After Neeraj Chopra’s Silver Medal Performance

Mohak Nahta, CEO of the US-based visa startup Atlys, has honored his promise to offer free visas to Indians following Neeraj Chopra’s performance at the Paris Olympics. Despite Chopra winning a silver medal in the men’s javelin final rather than the gold Nahta had originally stipulated, the entrepreneur decided to uphold his offer. Nahta, who shared his decision on LinkedIn, emphasized that while the medal’s color might differ, the spirit of his pledge remains unchanged.

In his LinkedIn post, Nahta announced that free visas would be available to all Indians who had commented with their email addresses on his earlier posts. However, some users have reported difficulties in redeeming the offer, noting discrepancies between the expected free service and the usual pricing displayed on the Atlys platform. Nahta assured that instructions would be sent to those who had expressed interest.

The Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Neeraj Chopra’s silver-winning throw of 89.45m fell short of the gold won by Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, who set an Olympic record with a 92.97m throw. Chopra’s achievement, despite not securing the top spot, continues to be celebrated, and Nahta’s commitment to his promise reflects a spirit of generous support.
