Ayodhya Celebrates Ram Navami with Grand Festivities and Advanced Technical Displays

Ayodhya is aglow with celebrations for Ram Navami, marking the first major religious event since the sanctification of Ram Lalla in January. The city expects around 25 lakh devotees over the next few days, drawn by the highlight of the festival: the Surya Tilak ceremony. Scheduled for 12:16 pm, this unique event will see sun rays illuminate the forehead of Ram Lalla, thanks to precision engineering involving lenses and mirrors to capture this divine moment.

Extensive preparations have been made to accommodate the influx of pilgrims, including extended darshan hours at the Shri Ram Lalla temple, which will now remain open until 11 pm. The festivities, which began with Mangala Aarti at 3:30 am, will include a series of rituals culminating in the Bhog and Shayan Aarti. Prasad will be distributed at the temple exit, ensuring devotees can maintain devotion and order.

Transport and facilities have been significantly enhanced in anticipation of the large crowds. The Maharishi Valmik International Airport, thematically designed around the Ramayana, is set to handle 90 flights from across India, including 40 chartered planes, to support the expected surge in visitors. Enhanced airport facilities such as a VIP lounge and improved accessibility options aim to ensure a smooth experience for all pilgrims arriving in Ayodhya for this auspicious occasion.
