CBI to Issue Blue Corner Notice Against JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna Amid Sexual Abuse Allegations

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is set to issue a Blue Corner notice for JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, who has reportedly fled to Germany following accusations of sexual abuse. This move by the CBI comes after a Special Investigation Team (SIT) briefed Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah about the ongoing investigations. Prajwal Revanna, grandson of former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, and his father H.D. Revanna, are embroiled in a scandal involving multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, following the emergence of pen drives containing extensive files linked to the case.

The scandal intensified after a police complaint was lodged by a 47-year-old woman accusing both Prajwal and his father of sexual abuse. The complaint was filed with the Holenarasipura town police on April 28, soon after incriminating files became public. In a related development, Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara disclosed that a lookout notice had already been issued against H.D. Revanna, who is also facing charges in another case of alleged abduction related to the sexual abuse investigations.

The allegations have caused significant political and social uproar, with the SIT firmly denying any extension for Prajwal Revanna to appear for questioning, despite requests from his legal team. The case continues to unfold, as authorities intensify their efforts to address the severe charges laid against the Revannas, which now involve international law enforcement cooperation through the Blue Corner notice.
