Communal Tension Escalates in Nuh District: FIR Registered Following Stone-Pelting Incident

Tensions flared in Nuh district, Haryana, as a recent incident involving the alleged pelting of stones at women en route to a ‘Kuan Poojan’ ceremony sparked communal unrest. The Superintendent of Police, Narendra Singh Bijarniya, confirmed that an FIR has been filed following a complaint by eight women who sustained minor injuries during the incident, which occurred near a mosque around 8:20 pm. The complaint pointed towards children from a nearby madrasa as the perpetrators, with footage leading to the identification and subsequent detainment of three minors linked to the incident.

The situation remains under control as authorities investigate the motive behind the stone-pelting. The police assured a thorough probe into the allegations made by the women and emphasized that the minors in question are currently being interrogated. In efforts to maintain peace, community leaders from both sides have been engaged, urging for calm among the residents. This incident isn’t the first of its kind in Nuh, as previous unrest during a Vishwa Hindu Parishad procession earlier this year resulted in six fatalities and a tragic loss of life at a nearby mosque in Gurugram. The authorities remain vigilant to prevent any further escalation and ensure appropriate actions are taken in response to the recent events.
