Draupadi Murmu President; Prime Minister Modi said that India has written history

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India has made history when a person from tribal community was elected as the President. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was reacting to Draupadi Murmu’s victory in the presidential election. Narendra Modi personally visited Draupadi Murmu’s house in Delhi and congratulated her. BJP National President JP Nadda was also with the Prime Minister.

Draupadi Murmu, who hails from the tribal community of Odisha, will become the 15th President of India. Draupadi Murmu secured the minimum number of votes needed to win as the counting of votes entered the third round of the presidential election. Draupadi Murmu, who is moving towards a better majority, will meet the media after the official result announcement, even though the votes are yet to be counted in some states including Tamil Nadu. BJP National President JP Nadda met Draupadi Murmu in person and congratulated her after the victory was assured.

A total of 4025 MLAs and 771 MPs had to vote in the presidential election. 99 percent of them voted. All the MLAs of twelve states including Kerala also cast their votes. Even before the polls, the NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu was confirmed by the NDA. Concerns were visible in the opposition following reports of vote leakage in some states. And finally, the results come out that prove that concern to be true.
