Kangana Ranaut Denounces Beef Consumption Rumors Amid Political Campaign

Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut has strongly dismissed allegations circulating on social media that she consumes beef. In a recent tweet, Ranaut clarified, “I don’t consume beef or any other kind of red meat, it is shameful that completely baseless rumours are being spread about me.” She emphasized her long-standing advocacy for a yogic and Ayurvedic lifestyle, labeling the rumors as attempts to tarnish her image. “My people know me and they know that I am a proud Hindu and nothing can ever mislead them, Jai Shri Ram,” she added, reaffirming her commitment to her faith and lifestyle choices.

The controversy surfaced after netizens unearthed a 2019 tweet discussing her dietary choices and religious beliefs. The tweet highlighted her transition to vegetarianism eight years prior and her broader spiritual outlook, stating, “There is nothing wrong with eating beef or eating any other meat…Kangana turned vegetarian 8 years ago and chose to be a yogi. She still doesn’t believe in just one religion.” The recent clarification aims to set the record straight amidst her political debut as the BJP candidate for the Mandi Lok Sabha seat in Himachal Pradesh.

Ranaut’s venture into politics follows a successful career in Bollywood, where she faced numerous challenges. The actor shared her journey of overcoming bullying and discrimination, attributing her resilience to her roots in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. Besides her political aspirations, Ranaut is also gearing up for her upcoming film “Emergency,” based on the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, showcasing her versatility as both an actor and director.
