Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah Labels PM Modi as ‘Weak PM’ Amidst Political Rivalry

In a recent escalation of verbal confrontations between political leaders in Karnataka, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, labeling him a ‘Weak PM’. The criticism came in response to Modi’s allegations at a public meeting in Shivamogga, where he accused the Congress of internal competition for looting and referred to various ‘CM-in-waiting’ within the party. Siddaramaiah retorted on social media, dismissing the notion of multiple CMs in Congress, and instead criticized Modi for not addressing dissent within his party, specifically citing the rebellion of BJP leader Eshwarappa.

Siddaramaiah further criticized Modi’s leadership, referencing past incidents where BJP leaders rebelled against Modi’s authority and the Prime Minister’s attempts to reconcile with them. He also highlighted the ongoing discord among BJP leaders in Karnataka, suggesting their indiscipline is reflective of Modi’s inability to enforce party discipline. The Chief Minister underscored his remarks by pointing to the internal democracy within the Congress, contrasting it with the lack of eligible leadership candidates within the BJP for the Prime Minister’s position.

The back-and-forth between Siddaramaiah and Modi has intensified the political atmosphere in Karnataka, with both leaders accusing each other of weaknesses and leadership failures. As Karnataka gears up for upcoming political milestones, these exchanges underline the deepening rifts within and between the major political parties, setting the stage for a highly contested political battle.
