Tragic Incident in Budaun: Two Children Murdered, Accused Killed in Police Encounter
In a horrifying event that unfolded in Budaun, Uttar Pradesh, two children were brutally murdered at their home by a man known to the family. The assailant, identified as 22-year-old Sajid, reportedly entered the premises seeking financial assistance for his pregnant wife’s medical expenses. According to the FIR, Sajid and his brother Javed visited the family’s home under the pretext of needing money, subsequently attacking the children with a knife. Ayush, aged 12, and Ahaan, also known as Honey, aged 8, succumbed to their injuries, while their brother Yuvraj, aged 10, was gravely wounded but survived the assault.
The police, upon receiving a complaint from the children’s father, Vinod Kumar, launched a swift operation. Within hours of the tragic incident, Sajid was located and fatally shot in a police encounter, as confirmed by IG Bareilly range, RK Singh. The confrontation ended the immediate threat posed by Sajid, although questions about his accomplice Javed’s whereabouts and the motive behind the brutal attack remain unanswered.
The local community has been left in shock by the brutal nature of the crime, especially considering the pretext under which the attacker gained access to the victims. In response to the sensitivity of the case and the involvement of individuals from different communities, law enforcement has heightened security in the area. Both Sajid and Javed have been charged with murder under IPC Section 302, as the authorities continue to investigate the circumstances that led to this tragic event.
