Massive Drug Haul Off Gujarat Coast: Indian Navy and NCB Seize Over 3 Tonnes

In a significant operation off the coast of Gujarat, the Indian Navy and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) successfully intercepted and seized a boat carrying almost 3,300 kg of contraband. The operation, which took place on Tuesday, resulted in the capture of 3089 kg of charas, 158 kg of methamphetamine, and 25 kg of morphine. This bust is being hailed as the “largest” in recent times in terms of quantity by the Indian Navy.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the joint efforts of the NCB, Indian Navy, and Gujarat Police in carrying out this massive operation. On social media, he highlighted the operation as a significant achievement towards realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a drug-free India. “Pursuing PM Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of a drug-free Bharat, our agencies today achieved the grand success of making the biggest offshore seizure of drugs in the nation,” Amit Shah stated, underscoring the government’s dedication to combating drug trafficking.

The seizure not only represents a substantial blow to drug trafficking networks but also reaffirms the government’s unwavering commitment to eliminating drug abuse from the country.
