Miraculous Rescue: Toddler Saved After 20-Hour Ordeal in Karnataka Borewell

In a heart-stopping operation, a two-year-old boy was successfully rescued from a 16-feet deep borewell in Lachayan village, Karnataka, after a grueling 20-hour-long rescue operation. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening when the toddler, playing near his house, accidentally fell head-first into the borewell. The alarm was raised after cries were heard from the borewell, prompting immediate action from local authorities and rescue teams.

Rescue efforts began around 6.30 pm, with authorities employing an excavator to dig a 21-feet deep pit parallel to the borewell in a bid to reach the trapped child. Amidst tense moments, the operation saw the community and rescuers coming together, holding onto hope as the hours passed. The police informed that the child had wandered close to the borewell while playing, leading to the unfortunate accident.

While the condition of the child post-rescue remains closely monitored, a medical team was on site throughout the operation, equipped with oxygen and emergency first aid medication. An ambulance was also stationed nearby to ensure the child could be immediately transported to a hospital in Indi for further treatment.
