Shah Rukh Khan Receives Death Threat, Police Launch Investigation
Mumbai police have filed a case after Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan received a death threat through a phone call. The threat was reportedly made by a man named Faizan from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, who demanded a ransom of ₹50 lakhs, warning that the actor’s life was at risk if the demand went unmet. Authorities have dispatched a team to Raipur to further investigate the situation.
The incident, which occurred at the Bandra Police Station, follows a series of recent threats made to actor Salman Khan. In Salman’s case, an individual claiming to be related to Lawrence Bishnoi—a figure connected with prior threats to the actor—was arrested in Karnataka for demanding ₹5 crore and issuing threats on a traffic police helpline.
Both actors have previously been in the spotlight over security concerns, with Salman Khan facing continued threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang since an incident related to blackbuck poaching in 1998. No arrests have been made in connection to Shah Rukh Khan’s case as yet, but police investigations are ongoing.
