Sharad Pawar Hits Back at Amit Shah’s Corruption Allegations

Days after Union Home Minister Amit Shah labeled him the “ringleader of corruption in politics,” Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar fired back, questioning the credibility of Shah, who had once been externed from Gujarat by the Supreme Court. Pawar remarked on the irony of Shah leading an important ministry despite his past judicial reprimand, highlighting concerns about how the current leadership is steering the country.

Addressing the accusations made by Shah, Pawar emphasized the need for the public to be vigilant about the path chosen by those in power. He criticized the current administration, implying that their decisions could lead the country astray, and urged citizens to consider the implications of such leadership.

During a BJP conclave in Pune, Amit Shah called Pawar the “commander of all the corrupt people in the country” and accused him of institutionalizing corruption. Shah also targeted the Opposition alliance, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), and Pawar over issues such as the alleged milk powder import circular and the Maratha reservation.
