Six Injured in Major Boiler Blast at Maharashtra Chemical Factory

A devastating boiler explosion rocked a chemical factory in Dombivli’s MIDC phase-2 on Thursday, injuring six workers and igniting a major fire within the Amber Chemical Company compound. The blast, which occurred in the early hours, was powerful enough to be heard a kilometer away, causing cracks in the glass windows of nearby buildings, according to eyewitnesses.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis confirmed that eight individuals trapped inside the factory have been successfully rescued. He noted the swift response of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the Thane Disaster Response Force (TDRF), and local fire brigade teams, who rushed to the scene to manage the situation and contain the blaze.

Efforts are ongoing to control the fire and prevent further damage. The incident has raised concerns about safety protocols within the industrial area, with authorities expected to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the blast and implement necessary safety measures.
