Tiffany & Co. and CFDA Expand Jewellery Designer Programme with New Scholarship Initiative

Luxury jeweller Tiffany & Co. has expanded its partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) by introducing a new jewellery design scholarship alongside the second cycle of the Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewellery Designer Award. The new initiative for 2026-2027 includes a 25,000 US dollar scholarship and a summer internship opportunity for an early-career jewellery design student, further extending support to emerging creative talent in the United States. Applications for the scholarship will open on May 14 through the CFDA website.

The latest expansion follows the success of the inaugural Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewellery Designer Award, won last year by Jameel Mohammed, who will now join the Selection Committee for the programme’s second cycle. This year’s award programme will provide finalists with funding to create a 3 to 5-piece jewellery collection, while also offering creative mentorship and a multi-week educational experience focused on craftsmanship and material exploration.

Finalists will work closely with Tiffany & Co.’s design team through one-on-one mentorship sessions before presenting their collections at a special award ceremony at Tiffany & Co.’s Fifth Avenue flagship store in New York City. One winner will receive a 50,000 US dollar grant along with a one-year fellowship with Tiffany’s design team. CFDA chief executive officer and president Steven Kolb described the initiative as an important step in supporting creativity and nurturing the next generation of American jewellery designers.
