11th Accused Arrested in NCP Leader Baba Siddique’s Murder Case

Mumbai Police arrested Amit Hisamsing Kumar, 29, on Wednesday, bringing the total number of suspects in custody to 11 in connection with the high-profile murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique. Kumar, a resident of Haryana’s Kaithal, was apprehended days after scrap dealer Bhagwat Singh Om Singh was arrested for allegedly supplying the weapon used in the assassination. Siddique was shot dead by three attackers outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office on October 12.

Among those arrested, two shooters — Gurmail Baljit Singh, 23, and Dharmaraj Rajesh Kashyap, 19 — are already in police custody, while the main shooter, Shivkumar Gautam, and two others remain at large. The police are intensifying their search efforts to capture the absconding suspects, who are believed to have received shooting practice in Karjat in August.

Investigations revealed that five of the suspects initially demanded ₹50 lakh to execute the assassination but later withdrew due to disagreements over payment and Siddique’s political influence. However, they provided logistical support to those carrying out the killing. Those arrested include Nitin Gautam Sapre, 32, Sambhaji Kisan Pardhi, 44, and three others from Maharashtra’s Thane and Raigad districts.
