JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna Faces New Rape Allegations
The sexual assault scandal surrounding JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna continues to escalate as another woman comes forward with serious allegations against him and his father, HD Revanna. According to the victim’s testimony to the Karnataka Police’s Special Investigation Team (SIT), Prajwal Revanna is accused of raping her mother and coercing her into explicit video calls under threats of violence. The allegations extend to HD Revanna, who has also been accused of sexually harassing the woman’s mother.
The complainant detailed how her mother was subjected to ongoing abuse, leading to limited and distressed communication with her family. The abuse reportedly occurred when her mother visited their Bengaluru residence, with threats against her family’s livelihood used as leverage. Following their complaint to the authorities, the victim’s father was dismissed from his job, further victimizing the family.
The case has drawn significant attention as Prajwal Revanna has since left for Germany, and a Blue Corner notice has been issued to assist in his location. Meanwhile, HD Revanna has been taken into judicial custody. The Karnataka SIT has encouraged other potential victims to come forward, providing a dedicated helpline for reports of abuse involving the accused. The ongoing investigations aim to address these severe allegations and provide justice to the affected individuals.
