Saif Ali Khan Attacked at Home by Intruder, Undergoes Surgery in Mumbai

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, 54, was attacked by an armed intruder during a robbery attempt at his residence in Bandra West, Mumbai, in the early hours of Thursday. The actor sustained multiple stab injuries and is undergoing surgery at Lilavati Hospital. The incident occurred at around 2:30 am when Khan, his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their two young sons were asleep. The intruder reportedly engaged in a scuffle with the actor after an argument with the household staff.

According to hospital officials, Khan suffered six injuries, two of which are deep, with one close to his spine. A team of specialists, including neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, is performing the surgery. Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam confirmed an FIR has been registered, and efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect. Public figures, including Jr NTR, BJP MLA Ram Kadam, and Congress MP Varsha Gaikwad, have expressed concern over the attack and raised questions about the safety of high-profile individuals in Mumbai.

The shocking incident has sparked a broader debate about security in Mumbai’s upscale neighborhoods like Bandra. While Khan’s publicist requested patience from fans and the media, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anand Dubey condemned the breach, citing other recent high-profile attacks. Khan, known for iconic roles in films such as Omkara and Dil Chahta Hai, remains in recovery, with further updates expected following his surgery.
