BHEL Secures ₹3,500 Crore Order from Adani Power for Raipur Thermal Power Project

State-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has secured a significant order valued at over ₹3,500 crore from Adani Power Limited to establish a thermal power project in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. This order, announced on Wednesday, underscores BHEL’s pivotal role in India’s power infrastructure development.

The contract, signed on June 5, encompasses the supply of essential equipment, including boilers, turbines, and generators, along with supervision of erection and commissioning for a 2×800 MW power project based on Supercritical Technology. The boiler and turbine generator components will be manufactured at BHEL’s Trichy and Haridwar plants, respectively, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards and timely delivery.

This substantial order highlights BHEL’s capability in executing large-scale power projects and its commitment to supporting India’s energy needs. The contract, excluding GST, marks another milestone for BHEL in its partnership with Adani Power, enhancing the country’s power generation capacity with advanced technology.
