Bollywood Star Govinda Injured in Accidental Shooting at Juhu Residence
Bollywood actor and former Member of Parliament, Govinda, was injured in an accidental shooting at his Juhu residence early this morning. The incident occurred around 4 am as the actor prepared to leave for an event in Kolkata. According to Juhu Police, Govinda was cleaning his licensed revolver when it accidentally discharged, grazing his leg below the knee. He was immediately rushed to CritiCare Asia Hospital in Andheri West, where hospital sources confirmed that he is out of danger but will remain admitted for further treatment.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident, with deputy commissioner of police (zone 9) Dixit Gedam stating that the shooting appears to have been accidental.
