Complaint Filed Against Mohan Babu Over Soundarya’s 2004 Plane Crash
A social activist from Khammam district has filed a complaint against veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu, alleging his involvement in the 2004 plane crash that claimed the life of Kannada actor Soundarya. The activist has urged the police to reopen the case and investigate possible foul play. He also claimed that Babu had threatened him and requested police protection.
The complaint further alleges that Mohan Babu had pressured Soundarya to sell a six-acre guest house in Jallepalli, Shamshabad, but her brother Amarnath refused. The activist has demanded that the government seize the property and take appropriate action against Babu. Soundarya, who was reportedly pregnant at the time, was traveling with her brother for a political campaign when their helicopter crashed, leaving no concrete evidence behind.
Mohan Babu, known for his negative roles in South Indian films, has not yet responded to the allegations. The complaint has sparked renewed interest in the decades-old tragedy, with calls for authorities to investigate the claims and ensure justice.
