Grace, Grit and Growth: Kavya Speaks After Being Crowned Miss Asia 2025
1. Kavya, huge congratulations! When you heard your name announced as Miss Asia 2025, what was that split-second moment like — disbelief, joy, or happy tears?
Honestly, that exact moment felt like time froze. For a split second, I wasn’t sure if I’d heard my name correctly. Then it hit me , my heart was racing, my eyes were already welling up, and all I could think was , “This is real. I actually did it.”
2. You shared the stage with so many inspiring women from across the globe. How was that experience — did you form any special connections or memories?
Sharing the stage with such incredible women from across the globe was honestly one of the most rewarding parts of the journey. Each one had her own story, culture, and spark and getting to learn from them made the entire experience even richer. Some of my favourite memories would be staying up late practicing together, making them try indian delicacies and watching their first reaction to that , hyping each other up while rehearsals and many more.
3. If you could describe your entire Miss Asia 2025 journey in just three words, what would they be?
If I had to describe in three words , it would definitely be – Transformative ,Empowering and Unforgettable
4. What’s one behind-the-scenes moment or funny incident from the pageant that readers would love to hear about?
One of the funniest moments has to be playing at the kids zones area with the girls and suddenly all the “elegant Miss Asia Global contestants” turned into 7 year olds . For a moment, crowns, poise, and pageant pressure didn’t exist , it was just pure joy.

5. You’ve been part of Pegasus pageant before — did stepping onto this stage feel like coming home in a way?
Stepping onto this stage really did feel like coming home. Pegasus was where I understood that pageantry isn’t just about the crown, but about growth, confidence, and sisterhood. So being back with the same organization, but on a much bigger stage, felt like a full-circle moment.
6. Pageants are not just about beauty but about personality and presence. What’s one quality you think helped you stand out from the crowd?
For me, the one quality that truly helped me stand out was being unapologetically myself , my energy, my laughter, my little quirks. I never tried to fit into a “pageant mold.” Whether it was interacting with the judges or bonding off camera , I showed up with real emotions, real passion, and a real desire to connect with people
7. Many young women dream of walking the same stage you did. If one of them asked for your secret to confidence, what would you tell her?
I’d tell her that confidence isn’t something you put on, it’s something you build.Don’t wait to feel perfect before you step forward. Half of my confidence came from showing up even when I was nervous, even when I doubted myself.
8. The finale night was full of lights, cheers, and emotions — is there a particular person or moment from that evening that will stay with you forever?
A moment that I’ll never forget was right backstage, just after the crowning. A few of the girls I’d become closest to ran over and literally wrapped me in the tightest group hug ever. We were all crying not because the competition was over, but because we had lived this beautiful journey together.
9. Now that you’ve achieved this incredible milestone, what’s next on your wish list — personally or professionally?
Winning Miss Asia 2025 is a huge milestone, but it’s definitely not the finish line for me. I want to continue my pageantry journey, grow bigger, train harder, and represent India on even grander international platforms. There’s still so much I want to learn, refine, and experience.
10. And just for fun — if you could send a message to your pre-pageant self from a year ago, what would you say to her right now?
I’d say to her that I know at times you feel like you’re not ‘enough’ sometimes. The things you’re worrying about right now, They’ll seem so small when you look back. You’re going to meet people who’ll believe in you, you’re going to laugh till your stomach hurts, and yes you’re going to cry too. But every bit of it will shape you into someone braver, kinder, stronger.
