Kochi Hosts 21st Manappuram Minnalai Media Awards Ceremony
The prestigious 21st Manappuram Minnalai Media Awards were presented in a grand ceremony at Le Meridien, Kochi. The event was spearheaded by Pegasus Chairman, Dr. Ajit Ravi, and featured prominent figures such as Adv. Dr. P Krishnadas, Roy Manappallil, Dr. M.C. Dileep Kumar, Salam Bappu, V K Varghese, and Deepthi Vijayakumar, collectively honored the award recipients.
In the category of Best News Presenter (Male), Hashmi Taj Ibrahim from 24 News was recognized as the top male presenter, while Anuja Rajesh, also from 24 News, received the award for Best News Presenter (Female). Aparna Kurup of Q18 – News 18 Kerala earned accolades as the Best Interview Program Presenter, and Aji Kunjumon from Gulf Life, Media One, was celebrated as the Best International News Presenter. V. Aravind from 24 News was awarded Best News-Based Program Presenter for his work on “Arasiyal Galatta.”
The awards also highlighted excellence in news reporting and editing. B.L. Arun from Manorama News was awarded Best Sports News Report for his coverage titled “Vijayakuthipp Thudaran Palakkad.” Harikrishna T.S. from Mathrubhumi News won Best Environmental News Report for “Periya Prashnam Perumpamp,” and Sanjay Kozhencherry from Manorama News was recognized as the Best Editor for his work on “Nere Chovve” and “News Maker.”
