Loewe and Jacob & Co. Redefine Wearable Tech With €100,000 Luxury Headphones
The often uneasy merger of fashion and technology has found a striking new expression in a collaboration between German audio company Loewe and jeweller-watchmaker Jacob & Co. The two brands unveiled a pair of luxury headphones in Monaco last week, blending cutting-edge acoustic engineering and active noise cancellation with handcrafted jewellery detailing more typical of haute couture than electronics.
The collection features two standout designs: the Noir Rainbow, set with 15.97 carats of gemstones on a handcrafted 14K rose gold ring, and the Ice Diamond, showcasing 12.47 carats of diamonds across 456 brilliant-cut stones on a 14K white gold frame. With a price tag of €100,000, the headphones are aimed at collectors and clients who value exclusivity and artistry as much as utility.
While unlikely to replicate the mainstream success of Apple’s iconic white earbuds, Loewe and Jacob & Co.’s creation positions wearable technology firmly at the top of the luxury spectrum. The launch, staged aboard the Loewe Yacht, marks what the company describes as “a new era” in luxury audio art, with more extraordinary creations promised in the coming months.
