A domestic helper who stayed with a couple in Chennai who had just returned from the United States was murdered. Police seized $5 million worth of jewellery from them, including nine kilogrammes of gold. In this case, two people have been arrested. Srikanth, 60, and his 55-year-old wife Anuradha were identified as the couple. Srikanth was trained as a chartered accountant.

The accused allegedly murdered the couple in their home before burying their bodies in their farmhouse outside of Chennai. As he and another Andhra Pradesh man attempted to flee to their hometown in Nepal, police apprehended them.

After being unable to contact her parents, the couple’s daughter, who lives in the United States, alerted local relatives. Their cellphones were turned off.

The two accused, domestic help Krishnan, who also works as an acting driver, and his friend Ravi, were apprehended by police in Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, while attempting to flee. Before they left the country, the police used sophisticated tracking systems to catch them. “We were able to recover important evidence, including the CCTV recorder that the accused had taken. We have a strong case to prove our innocence “Dr. Kannan, a senior officer with the Chennai Police Department, agreed.

Krishnan suspected the couple of having 40 crore cash on hand from a recent real estate transaction and planning to rob it.
